A PATRIOTIC VETERANS ORGANIZATION DEVOTED TO MUTUAL HELPFULNESS, COMMITTED TO MENTORING & SPONSORSHIP OF YOUTH PROGRAMS IN THE COMMUNITY, ADVOCATING PATRIOTISM & HONOR, PROMOTING A STRONG NATIONAL SECURITY, & CONTINUED DEVOTION TO FELLOW SERVICE MEMBERS & VETERANS. DONATIONS ARE GIVEN TO FELLOW VETERANS & THEIR FAMILIES IN TIMES OF GRIEF, AS WELL AS, TO VARIOUS SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES TO ENSURE THE FUTURE SUCCESS OF OUR YOUTH. IN ADDITION, POST 136 OF THE AMERICAN LEGION MAINTAINS A CANTEEN FOR THE SOCIAL ENJOYMENT AND RECREATION OF ITS MEMBERS.
