THE ENTITY IS DEDICATED TO THE ALLEVIATION OF SOCIAL, ECONOMIC, HOUSING AND ANY RELATED PROBLEMS OF THE POOR, NEAR-POOR, WORKING POOR, ELDERLY AND RECENTLY ARRIVING IMMIGRANTS IN THE NEW YORK CITY AREA. MET COUNCIL WORKS TOWARD THE DELIVERY OF NEEDED SERVICES BY ESTABLISHING LINKS BETWEEN VARIOUS GOVERNMENT AGENCIES.
