DANBURY YOUTH BASEBALL INC

DANBURY YOUTH BASEBALL WAS FOUNDED WITH THE VISION OF CREATING A TOP-TIER FACILITY WHERE YOUNG ATHLETES COULD LEARN, GROW, AND DEVELOP A LOVE FOR THE GAME. THE ROOTS OF THIS DREAM TRACE BACK TO 1934 WHEN CEPHAS B. ROGERS GENEROUSLY DONATED 25 ACRES OF SWAMPY LAND TO THE CITY OF DANBURY TO ESTABLISH A COMMUNITY PARK. BY 1941, ROGERS PARK OFFICIALLY OPENED, AND OVER THE NEXT DECADE, MORE THAN A DOZEN ADDITIONAL ACRES WERE INCORPORATED. AMONG ITS KEY LANDMARKS IS THE WAR MEMORIAL, BUILT TO HONOR FALLEN SOLDIERS AND SERVE AS A GATHERING PLACE FOR SERVICEMEN.
