Mission and programs

The specific and primary purposes are to effect and encourage the preservation and study of science fiction, fantasy and other types of specialized fiction, in all media and research in and collecting of materials in these fields. We organize and manage conventions in these fields for this purpose. We are a clearing house for collections of books and artwork in the fields of science fiction, fantasy and other types of specialized works; we locate facilities for collections when they become available due to death or other reasons. We facilitate with shipping said collections to facilities that need them for their archives at no cost to the owners or heirs or the facilities.
