Donor Journeys

Donor Journeys are Fundraising automations triggered by gifts, tags, lapses, birthdays, holidays, or event dates. The shipped builder is a linear flow—pick a trigger, add timed actions, and activate. Execution runs server-side; failed email or SMS provider responses mark the run as failed instead of silently succeeding.

Common Tasks

Activate a welcome series

1. Open Fundraising → Donor Journeys and pick a template such as New Donor Welcome.
2. Review triggers, delays, and estimated Minties per run.
3. Activate when your balance covers expected volume; pause anytime from the journey list.

Good to Know

Free-tier orgs can use email, SMS, video fundraising links, and tag actions. Postcard and letter steps require Plus or higher and are hidden or blocked on free tiers even in older workflow data.

Set optional monthly Minties caps in the builder to prevent runaway automation spend. Direct-mail steps need uploaded print templates before they can send.
