Key Metrics & Trends

Quick Answer: Key Metrics & Trends

Four metric cards at the top of the dashboard summarize Total Donations, Recurring Monthly, Total Donors, and Pending Items, each with a period-over-period trend badge. The Donation Trends chart below respects the same Day, Week, Month, YTD, Last Year, or quarter filter. Set an annual goal on the chart to see pace badges and optional Goal Pace tiles.

Metric cards

The four headline cards update whenever you change the global time period or organization in the header. Total Donations sums gifts for the period. Recurring Monthly shows the current month's recurring total. Total Donors counts unique donors in the period. Pending Items combines pending expenses plus your incomplete to-dos—click it to open the Pending Items panel.

Trend calculations

Each card compares the current period to the previous equivalent period: this month versus last month, this quarter versus the same quarter last year, and so on. The trend badge shows the percentage change with an up, down, or neutral arrow. When you select "All Organizations," metrics aggregate across every fund you can access.

Donation Trends chart

The Donation Trends widget plots giving over time with a line, bar, or area view (your choice is saved in your browser). Hover for amounts by period. Click the target icon to set an annual donation goal—a dashed goal line appears on the chart with an On Pace or Behind Pace badge based on seasonally adjusted expectations. Parent org and individual funds can set goals; the All Organizations view disables goal editing.

Quarter and year labels

Quarter selections use smart year detection so you always see the most relevant quarter. Labels include the year and month range—for example, "Q2 2026 (Apr–Jun)"—so committee packets stay unambiguous.

Plan availability

Donation metrics and the trends chart are included on the Free plan. Annual goal setting, Goal Pace tiles, and Goal Celebrations work wherever you can set a goal for a fund. Cash-related add-ons such as Fund Summary require Plus or higher with fund accounting.
