SMS Campaigns

Text campaigns live in the Fundraising hub beside email. Compose a message, pick donors, volunteers, prospects, contacts, or a mailing list, and send with the same audience controls as email. Bulk sends include only numbers with explicit SMS opt-in; duplicates and missing consent are skipped before billing.

What You Can Do

  • Target the same audience types as email campaigns, including saved mailing lists
  • Insert smart tags for personalization where supported
  • Preview recipient counts that reflect consent and phone deduplication
  • Track delivery outcomes alongside other Fundraising campaigns

Common Tasks

Send an event reminder text

  1. Open Fundraising → Text Campaigns and create a new message.
  2. Select a mailing list or segment with phone-capable members who opted in to SMS.
  3. Keep the message short, include a link if needed, and send after reviewing the eligible count.

Good to Know

Minties SMS costs are tier-based: Free and Plus charge 2 Minties per eligible text; Pro and Enterprise charge 1 Minty each. The pre-send balance check uses the deduped, opted-in count—not raw CRM rows with phone numbers.

SMS compose no longer offers a template picker in the UI; draft your copy directly. STOP replies and consent records are authoritative—staff cannot text opted-out numbers from Alignmint.

Text campaigns require Fundraising access and sufficient Minties (or a Pro/Enterprise tier with lower per-text cost). Plus includes 2,500 monthly Minties; see Minties.
