The dashboard To-Do List tracks tasks with priorities, due dates, recurring schedules, and multi-person assignments. You see items you created or that were assigned to you. Notifications for overdue or due-soon to-dos link back with ?todoId= so the right row scrolls into view and highlights briefly.

Create and manage tasks

Click add on the To-Do List widget to open the dialog. Enter a title and optional description (multi-line text is preserved when you expand a task). Set priority to High, Medium, or Low. Pick a due date and, if needed, a recurring schedule—daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. Assign the task to one or more teammates with the checkbox list inside your organization.

What you see on each row

  • Checkbox to mark complete
  • Priority badge (red, yellow, or green)
  • Organization or fund badge when scoped to one entity
  • Assignee names—or "N people" when multiple assignees
  • Due date badge (turns red when overdue)
  • Recurring badge for repeating tasks

Filters and completion

Filter the list to show All, Active, or Completed tasks. Completed items stay visible until you clear them. Delete a task you no longer need from the row actions.

Automatic thank-you tasks

When a donation exceeds your personal alert threshold, Alignmint can create a high-priority "Thank [donor name]" task with contact details in the description—assigned to the user who received the alert. Duplicate tasks for the same gift are prevented.

Notifications and deep links

Assignees receive notifications when a to-do is assigned, due tomorrow, or overdue. Clicking the notification opens the dashboard and highlights the specific task for three seconds—the same behavior as clicking a to-do from the Pending Items panel. See Notifications for panel details.

Plan availability

The To-Do List is included on every plan with dashboard access (Free and above). Volunteers with limited roles see only their own assignments.
