Quick Answer: Getting Started with Alignmint

Sign up at alignmint.app with one form—organization name, your name, email, and password. Your organization is created immediately, there is no email verification step, and you land on the Dashboard ready to work. Every account starts on the Free plan; upgrade to Plus or Pro anytime when you need accounting, reporting, or more team seats.

Create Your Account

Visit getalignmint.org/signup and complete the single signup form. Enter your organization name, first and last name, email address, and a password of at least eight characters. When you submit, Alignmint creates your user account, your organization, and a simplified chart of accounts in one step. You are signed in automatically and taken straight to the Dashboard.

What Free Includes

The Free plan costs $0 and supports nonprofits processing up to $100K in annual donations. You get one user, the Dashboard, Minty AI, My Workspace entry, donation management, custom giving pages, CRM and contacts, and fundraising tools. Your organization starts with a simplified chart of accounts so you can record gifts and run basic reports right away.

When to Upgrade to Plus or Pro

Move to Plus when you need full fund accounting, the Tools hub, Administration features, reporting, video conferencing, or up to ten team members. Plus supports up to $250K in annual donations. Pro adds sub-funds, the Form 990 Builder, priority support, and unlimited users for organizations handling up to $2.5M in annual gifts. Enterprise is for fiscal sponsors and larger organizations that need unlimited users and multiple entities.

If you arrive from a pricing link with ?plan=plus or ?plan=pro, Alignmint still creates your Free account first, then walks you through secure online payment setup for the plan you chose. If checkout is interrupted, you remain on Free and can upgrade later from the app.

Your First Week

1. Confirm your organization name and EIN under Settings → Organization

2. Record a test gift or connect secure online payments so donors can give online

3. Invite teammates from Administration when you are ready to share access

4. If you are moving from another system, review importing your data before you enter years of history by hand
