Welcome to Alignmint
Alignmint is a comprehensive nonprofit management platform that combines fund accounting, donor management, donation tracking, and financial reporting in one modern, intuitive interface. Whether you're a small nonprofit or a fiscal sponsor managing multiple entities, Alignmint scales to meet your needs.
What You Can Do with Alignmint
- Manage Donors: Complete CRM with contact management, giving history, and segmentation
- Track Donations: Record all gift types including cash, checks, credit cards, stock, and in-kind
- Fund Accounting: True nonprofit fund accounting with restricted fund tracking

Step 1: Create Your Account
- Visit alignmint.app and click "Schedule Your Free Setup"
- Enter your email address and create a secure password
- Check your inbox and click the verification link
- Complete your profile with your name and contact information
Step 2: Set Up Your Organization
After creating your account, you'll set up your nonprofit's profile:
- Organization Name: Your nonprofit's legal name as registered with the IRS
- EIN: Your Employer Identification Number for tax receipts
- Fiscal Year: Select your fiscal year end date (December 31, June 30, or custom)
- Address: Your organization's physical address for receipts and correspondence
- Time Zone: Ensures accurate timestamps on all transactions
Step 3: Import Your Existing Data
Migrating from another system? Alignmint makes it easy to bring your data with you:
- Donors and Contacts: Import via CSV with name, email, address, phone, and custom fields
- Donation History: Bring over historical donations with donor, amount, date, and fund allocation
- Chart of Accounts: Import your existing account structure or use our nonprofit-optimized template
Pro and Enterprise customers receive white-glove migration assistance from our team, including data cleanup and validation.
Step 4: Organize Your Team
Alignmint supports unlimited users on all plans. Use the People Hub to organize your team into groups and teams:
- Groups: Create groups for staff, volunteers, board members, and other categories
- Teams: Set up teams for committees, departments, or project-based work
- People Hub: Manage all personnel profiles, track volunteer hours, and handle digital waivers
Step 5: Connect Your Bank Account
Securely connect your bank accounts for automatic transaction import and easy reconciliation. This enables:
- Automatic import of bank transactions
- One-click bank reconciliation
- Real-time cash balance visibility
- Reduced manual data entry
Step 6: Set Up Online Donations
Connect your Stripe account to start accepting online donations immediately. You can create custom donation pages for campaigns, events, and general giving.
