Bank Connection

Connect Your Bank

Connecting your bank accounts to Alignmint through Plaid gives you automatic daily transaction imports, real-time cash balances, and dramatically faster bank reconciliation. It's one of the most time-saving features in the platform.

Setup

1. Go to Administration → Bank Connections
2. Click "Connect Bank"
3. Search for your bank by name (Plaid supports 12,000+ financial institutions)
4. Log in with your bank credentials through Plaid's secure portal
5. Select which accounts to connect (checking, savings, or both)
6. Alignmint immediately begins importing recent transactions

Security

Bank connections are powered by Plaid, the same service used by Venmo, Robinhood, and thousands of other financial apps. Alignmint never sees or stores your bank login credentials—Plaid handles that securely. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Supported Institutions

Plaid supports over 12,000 financial institutions in the US and Canada, including all major banks (Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citi) and thousands of credit unions and community banks.

Managing Connections

View, refresh, or disconnect bank accounts anytime from Administration → Bank Connections. If your bank requires re-authentication (common every 90 days), you'll see a prompt to update your credentials.
