Contacts CRM
Quick Answer: Contacts CRM
Store personal business contacts in My Workspace—separate from Donor Hub and People volunteers. Import, merge, and use them as campaign recipients without mixing them into donor totals.
Contacts CRM
Contacts CRM lives under My Workspace, not Donor Hub or the People volunteer roster. Each user manages their own contact list; contacts are scoped to the signed-in user rather than shared org-wide. Use contacts for board allies, vendors, community partners, and newsletter names who are not yet donors or volunteers in Alignmint.
What You Can Do
- Add contacts with name, email, phone, company, and structured address fields
- Classify contacts as business, vendor, partner, or other types
- Import Excel with auto-detected columns and optional fund-name labels
- Merge duplicates while preserving structured address data
- Include contacts as recipients in Fundraising email or SMS campaigns via mailing lists or segment picks
Common Tasks
Import a community outreach list
- Open My Workspace → Contacts.
- Choose import, map columns, and confirm the preview.
- Tag or type contacts so future campaigns can filter them cleanly.
Convert interest into a tracked donor
- When someone gives, create or match them in Donor Hub instead of leaving them only in Contacts.
- During gift entry you can convert prospects; contacts stay separate until you deliberately add them elsewhere.
Good to Know
Contacts do not affect donor lifetime totals, volunteer hours, or accounting. Required fields for add and edit are first name, last name, and email. Read-only users can search and export but cannot add, merge, or delete.
Contacts CRM is available on all authenticated plans with My Workspace access. Campaign sends that include contacts still follow normal Minties tier rules for email and SMS.
