Mailing Lists

Mailing Lists live under Fundraising → Mailing Lists. Save static or dynamic groups once and reuse them across channels instead of re-selecting segments for every campaign. Email and SMS compose both offer a mailing-list recipient type backed by the same list records.

What You Can Do

• Create lists from donors, volunteers, prospects, contacts, or manual picks
• Filter by tags, giving history, location, or other CRM criteria where supported
• Preview member counts before sending; inactive lists appear disabled in compose dropdowns
• Export members to spreadsheet for offline review

Common Tasks

Build a major-donor email list

1. Open Fundraising → Mailing Lists and create a new list.
2. Add donors by tag or giving threshold, then save.
3. In Email Campaigns, choose Mailing list on the recipients step and select the list.

Good to Know

Sendable counts in the email builder load live members and apply the same email validation rules as Send Now—displayed totals may be lower than stale member_count fields when addresses bounce or unsubscribe.

Household dedupe for “all donors” segments is separate from mailing lists; when you need one email per household, use the dedupe checkbox on donor segments or maintain household-aware lists manually.

Mailing Lists are free on all tiers with Fundraising access. Channel sends still consume Minties per email or SMS tier rules.
