Click Change Layout on the dashboard to reorder widgets with up and down arrows, add optional cards like Top Donors or Quick Actions, or remove add-ons you do not need. Your layout saves automatically and does not affect other users. There is no drag-and-drop—arrow buttons keep reordering predictable on mobile and keyboard.
Enter edit mode
Click Change Layout to enter edit mode. Up and down arrow buttons appear beside each widget so you can move items in the vertical stack. When you are finished, click Done to save. Click Reset to restore the default arrangement without losing any underlying data.
Core versus optional widgets
Three widgets are always part of the default layout and cannot be removed: Donation Trends, Recent Donations, and the To-Do List. Optional widgets you can add or remove include Top Donors, Cash Balance (Fund Summary), Quick Actions, and the optional Snapshot Grid (a compact 2×2 overview). In edit mode, click the trash icon to remove an optional widget, or use Add widget to bring one back.
Personal layouts
Each user in your organization maintains their own layout. Changes save to your account preferences and sync across devices. A new team member starts with the default stack and can customize from there without changing anyone else's view.
Role-based tips
Executive directors: Keep Donation Trends and Top Donors near the top for board prep.
Bookkeepers: Add Cash Balance and pair it with Recent Donations when reconciling.
Development staff: Add Quick Actions for late recurring gifts and overdue pledges, plus the To-Do List for follow-ups.
Plan availability
Layout editing is available to all authenticated users on every plan. Some optional widgets only appear when your plan includes the underlying feature—Cash Balance requires Plus or higher with fund accounting, and Quick Actions links to pledges or grants tools when those modules are enabled.
