Bank GL Posting Queue
Quick Answer: Bank GL Posting Queue
The Bank GL Posting Queue collects imported bank activity that is not yet on your books, lets you assign the fund and offsetting account, and posts a balanced journal entry that automatically matches during reconciliation. It turns raw bank transactions into clean accounting records without hand-keying each one.
Available on Pro and Enterprise inside Fund Accounting. Use it after you connect your bank so downloaded transactions have somewhere to land. Pair it with Bank Reconciliation and Chart of Accounts defaults so posting is fast and consistent.
Pro or Enterprise. Fund Accounting hub requires Plus or above.
Post Bank Activity to the Ledger
The queue lists downloaded bank transactions that do not yet have a matching journal entry. For each row you pick the fund and the offset account, then approve and post. Alignmint creates the balanced entry, links it to the bank line, and marks the pair as cleared so reconciliation finishes faster.
What You Can Do
- Review unposted deposits and payments in one list
- Assign fund and offset account per row, or in bulk
- Save drafts on a row before you commit
- Filter and search by description, vendor, or amount
- Approve and post to create the journal entry automatically
Good to Know
Set your account defaults in the Chart of Accounts first so the queue can suggest cash and revenue accounts. Posted items appear immediately in the General Ledger and the Transaction Ledger Report. The queue is a desktop workflow, and read-only users can view it without posting.
