Volunteer Applications
Quick Answer: Volunteer Applications
Accept public volunteer applications, customize questions, and approve or reject from a review queue—Plus plan and above. Approved applicants become volunteer roster records automatically.
Volunteer Applications
Volunteer Applications lives under People → Applications with two tabs: Review Queue and Configure Questions. Share the public link (/volunteer-apply/…) on your site or emails; submissions land in the queue with abuse protections (rate limits, honeypot, duplicate pending checks).
What You Can Do
- Review pending, approved, and rejected applications with search and detail drawer actions
- Customize sections, required fields, and custom questions on the public form
- Require an approved application email before public scheduler signup when enabled
- Configure applicant and decision emails in Volunteer Settings → Application Emails
Common Tasks
Approve a new applicant
- Open People → Applications → Review Queue.
- Open the submission, verify answers, and click approve or reject.
- On approval, Alignmint creates the volunteer roster record; the applicant may still need waivers before serving.
Good to Know
Volunteer Applications requires Plus or higher. Public form drafts save in the applicant’s browser local storage until submit succeeds.
Rejection and approval emails respect staff permission gates. Application requirement for scheduler signup is separate from waiver signing—plan both in your volunteer setup checklist.
