Payroll Summary

Quick Answer: Payroll Summary

Payroll Summary lists posted ADP payroll totals by person and pay date for the parent organization. Open Reports → Payroll Summary after Payroll has posted a run.

Pro and Enterprise. Directors and accountants need write access. A custom grant for this report also opens it. Assistants do not get it from the built-in position list. A child organization sees the parent-organization access message.

What you can review

  • Wages, additions, taxes withheld, and other deductions
  • Employer taxes, employer benefits, and net pay
  • How many posted runs fall in the date range
  • One person's posted runs, and the journal entry for that run

The date range starts as this month. Pick a person when you want one associate's history. If two people share a name, the list adds a short identifier so you can tell them apart.

My Team can open that person's payroll history when you are allowed to see this report. The report reads posted ADP runs. It does not rebuild the totals from journal lines.

Good to Know

There is no file export on this report yet, and Recurring Reports does not offer a Payroll Summary schedule. If posted runs are missing their detail rows, rebuild them from Payroll, then come back to this report.
