Quick Actions

Quick Answer: Quick Actions

The Quick Actions card surfaces urgency alerts that need director attention: late recurring gifts, overdue pledges, and overdue grant payments. Up to five items appear sorted by days overdue, each with a link to the donor profile, Pledges Manager, or Grants Receivable. This is not a shortcut menu for recording gifts—it is an early-warning list for follow-up.

What appears on the card

Add the Quick Actions widget from dashboard edit mode. When action items exist, the card shows a count badge and up to five entries, most urgent first. Each row includes a status indicator (red for urgent, amber for attention needed), a plain-language description, and context such as the expected date and amount. Click a row to jump straight to the right tool.

Alert types

  • Late recurring donor: A donor on a recurring schedule who has not given within three days of the expected date (donors inactive for 90+ days are excluded as churned). Opens the donor profile in Donor CRM.

  • Overdue pledge: A pledge past its expected date with balance still owed. Opens Pledges in the Accounting hub.

  • Overdue grant: A grant receivable payment past its expected date with balance still owed. Opens Grants Receivable in the Accounting hub.

When the card is empty

If nothing needs attention, the card shows an "All caught up" message. When more than five items exist, a "View all" link appears so you can work through the full list elsewhere.

Plan availability

The Quick Actions widget is available to all authenticated users who can view the dashboard. Late-recurring alerts use Donor CRM data on every plan. Pledge and grant alerts require Plus or higher with fund accounting and the related modules enabled—those rows simply will not appear on Free plans.
