Bring In Your Existing Data

Bring your existing data into Alignmint with spreadsheet uploads, assisted data transfer, and provider-specific data paths. Start with a Free Setup Review so we can confirm what can move, what needs cleanup, and what your team should verify before switching systems.

Choose your current provider before importing so your team can see the recommended path and gather the right files.

Common starting points include QuickBooks, Aplos, Blackbaud, Bloomerang, DonorPerfect, Virtuous, Planning Center, Realm, ChurchTrac, WildApricot, Salesforce, donor CRM tools, fundraising tools, volunteer tools, and spreadsheets. If your system is not listed, bring the exports you have and we will review them with you.

Preparing Your Data

• Export data from your current system as spreadsheets
• Review donors, contacts, members, and households for duplicates
• Gather chart of accounts, fund, class, or purpose reports
• Flag records that should be archived instead of imported

Import Types

• Donors: Name, email, address, phone, custom fields

• Donations: Donor, amount, date, fund, payment method

• Chart of Accounts: Account number, name, type, parent

• Funds and restrictions: Fund names, purposes, grant labels, and old class structures

• People and activity: Members, volunteers, vendors, events, pledges, and selected notes

Provider-Specific Paths

• Automated import available: The provider has a more structured import path, but the result still needs review.

• Assisted data transfer supported: Export files are reviewed and mapped before records move into Alignmint.

• Setup review required: Custom fields, modules, or accounting history need review before we confirm the import plan.

Setup Help

Alignmint includes a free setup review and import help for nonprofit teams moving into the platform. The review protects accounting history, restricted funds, donor records, and reports from being copied over blindly.
