My Team

Quick Answer: My Team

My Team is your Pro and Enterprise workspace directory for staff profiles, team structure, and day-to-day people context. Open a person to see their role details without digging through account administration.

Find it under My Workspace. Account access and permissions still live in Groups & Teams.

Pro and Enterprise.

What My Team Shows

My Team gives every staff member a single view of who is on the team, how the organization is structured, and the day-to-day details that make collaboration easier. It reads from the same staff records your administrators maintain, so names, titles, and organization units are always current without extra data entry.

Three main areas are available from the My Team navigation:

  • Overview — when you open My Team, AlignMint looks up your own profile and displays it inline so you see your own record first. If no personal record is found, the directory and organization views are still available.
  • Directory — a searchable, filterable list of all staff. Filter by team, employment type, or status. Results are server-driven so only staff your role can see are returned; staff without login accounts remain visible.
  • Organization — a Teams card view grouped by org unit. Each card shows members in a responsive grid. Use the secondary List view for a semantic table sorted by person, title, team, manager, or organization. Both views share the same client-side search so switching between them keeps your filter active.

Staff Profiles

Click any person in Directory or Organization to open their profile. The profile shows identity details first — name, email, phone, and avatar — followed by Work, About, and (for authorized viewers) Account & Access.

Work Section

The Work section renders the assignment details for that staff member: job title, employment type, status, and effective dates. Titles come from assignments and reflect the role the person holds in your organization — they are never replaced by a generic account label.

About Section

Staff can add voluntary profile details that help teammates know them better. The About section shows up to nine optional attributes:

  • Bio — a short written introduction, visible to all staff by default
  • Interests, Strengths, Growth Areas, Communication Style, Recognition Preferences, Work Style, Favorite Color, Favorite Food

Each attribute has its own visibility setting — staff-visible, reporting-chain-visible, or self-only. Missing or private attributes display a neutral unavailable state rather than exposing why information is absent. Staff edit their own attributes one at a time from their own profile.

Account & Access

This section is visible only to the profile subject or a staff member with the personnel access-management capability. It shows linked-account state, and staff with that capability see a handoff to Groups & Teams for invitation, role, permission, and removal actions. Passwords, MFA, and private settings are never shown here.

What You Can Do

  • Browse a searchable directory of all staff with filters for team, employment type, and status
  • View team structure as grouped org-unit cards or a semantic list table
  • Open any staff profile to see role details, reporting context, and voluntary About attributes
  • Edit your own bio and voluntary profile attributes from your profile (saved one attribute at a time)
  • Use Edit account profile on your own profile to update name, avatar, and contact details in User Settings
  • Hand off account-administration actions to Groups & Teams without leaving the profile

Good to Know

My Team is a read-only view of staff structure — it does not create logins, change roles, or manage permissions. Those actions belong to Administration → Groups & Teams. Voluntary profile attributes each save independently, so a failed save on one attribute does not affect the others. Global search and Minty never index staff names, emails, or profile attributes; staff search stays inside the role-filtered Directory. My Team requires Pro or Enterprise; the My Workspace hub itself is visible on all plans.
