Type plain-English questions and Minty answers from your live nonprofit data—top donors, month-to-date revenue, fund balances, and more—with links into the right AlignMint reports. Minty does not create, update, or delete records for you.

Your in-app assistant

Minty lives inside alignmint.app for parent-organization and fund staff. It reads records you are allowed to see, runs simple math, and explains accounting concepts in plain language. It does not replace your CPA for tax or legal advice.

What Minty can do

• Query your data: Donors, donations, volunteers, events, accounting balances, and documents in My Files

• Navigate to reports: Answers include clickable links to the full report or record

• Math and concepts: Percentages, allocations, and fund accounting basics

• Query templates inside Minty: Pre-built prompts when you chat in Minty—not from the header search modal (Cmd/Ctrl+K)

What Minty does not do

Write actions are off. Minty cannot schedule meetings, log mileage, create tasks, update donor records, or post journal entries. When you need to change something, Minty points you to the page where you complete the work. See Minty Actions.

How to open Minty

• Dashboard chat: Ask from the home dashboard

• Popout: Open the Minty panel from the header on desktop

• Not a sidebar page: There is no separate Minty hub route. Cmd/Ctrl+K finds people, pages, tools, and reports—it does not open Minty.

Privacy and limits

• Chat history is private to your account
• Data queries respect your permissions and selected organization
• 50 messages per day per teammate (shared across dashboard chat and the popout)
• Your data is never used to train external models
