Volunteers

The Volunteers sidebar hub focuses on the roster, Service Planning, Scheduler, applications, and settings. Staff directory and groups live under Administration; contacts live in My Workspace. The app route is /volunteers (older /people links still open the same hub).

Volunteers Hub

In AlignMint, Volunteers is the volunteer operations hub: roster, service planning, scheduler, applications, and volunteer settings. It is not the same as the Administration staff directory. Donor records stay in Donor Hub; personal contacts stay in My Workspace under Contacts CRM.

What lives in Volunteers

• Volunteers CRM — searchable roster with hours, waivers, tags, and portal invites. Available on All plans.
• Service Planning — reusable teams, serving roles, dated services, and assignment invitations. Available on All plans.
• Volunteer Scheduler — events, public signup, and QR check-in. Available on PlusProEnterprise.
• Volunteer Applications — public apply form and review queue. Available on PlusProEnterprise.
• Volunteer Settings — skills, activity types, and the new-volunteer checklist. Available on PlusProEnterprise.

What lives elsewhere

• Unified people view (all roles): My Workspace → Database — one record per person across Donor, Volunteer, Prospect, and Guest roles
• Groups & Teams / staff directory: Administration → Groups & Teams
• Contacts CRM: My Workspace → Contacts
• Donor CRM: Donor Hub

Common Tasks

Add a new volunteer to the roster

1. Open Volunteers → Roster.
2. Choose Add Volunteer, enter contact details, skills, and tags.
3. Send a portal login link if they will self-report hours, submit reimbursements, or sign waivers online.

Good to Know

Volunteer portal logins use magic links like donors. Approved applications create volunteer rows automatically; assigned waivers may still be required afterward through the portal or Tools → Sign Waivers.

Scheduler, Applications, and Volunteer Settings are available on Plus, Pro, and Enterprise. Roster, hour tracking, and Service Planning are available on All plans.
